FORMULA SELECTION

Compare the Main 3:1 Epoxy Doming Formulas

Start with the required cured character and production behavior. HSFECL currently promotes 306AB, 6015-8AB and 7016AB as the main epoxy doming references for sample evaluation.

SOFT 3:1 FORMULA

306AB Soft Epoxy Doming Resin

For labels, nameplates, badges and coated craft surfaces that need a softer cured layer, clear appearance, good flexibility and cost-conscious selection.

306AB

Key buyer considerations

  • Soft cured character
  • Lower-viscosity flow
  • Good flexibility after curing
  • Manual and machine doming

Reference from supplied 306AB data: 3:1 by weight, about 60 minutes usable time at 25°C with 100 g mixed material, and room-temperature surface dry about 8-10 hours. Actual timing depends on temperature, batch size and production conditions.

Discuss 306AB Soft Formula

MEDIUM-SOFT 3:1 FORMULA

6015-8AB Medium-Soft Epoxy Doming Resin

For repeat doming applications requiring moderate viscosity, transparent appearance, good leveling, bubble control and a medium-soft flexible cured layer.

6015-8AB

Key buyer considerations

  • Medium-soft cured character
  • Moderate viscosity
  • Self-leveling appearance
  • Anti-yellowing positioning

Reference from supplied 6015-8AB data: 3:1 by weight, about 50 minutes usable time at 25°C with 100 g mixed material, Shore A 72±2 and room-temperature surface dry about 7-9 hours. Confirm under actual production conditions.

Discuss 6015-8AB Medium-Soft Formula

HARD 3:1 FORMULA

7016AB Hard Epoxy Doming Resin

For rigid badges, labels, nameplates and coated craft surfaces requiring a hard, high-gloss, flat and transparent cured surface.

7016AB

Key buyer considerations

  • Hard cured surface
  • Lower-viscosity flow
  • Excellent self-leveling
  • Gloss and anti-yellowing positioning

Reference from supplied 7016AB data: 3:1 by weight, about 40 minutes usable time at 25°C with 100 g mixed material, Shore D 80±2, room-temperature surface dry about 7-8 hours and full cure about 30 hours. Actual results depend on production conditions.

Discuss 7016AB Hard Formula

2:1 epoxy remains available as an optional formula direction only when a project specifically requires it. It is not the primary comparison basis for this product page.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Indoor Doming Applications

This epoxy product range is intended for indoor dimensional doming applications where clarity, surface shape and cured character must be matched to the finished product.

  • Domed Labels

PRODUCTION PERFORMANCE

Performance Designed for Repeat Doming Production

01

High Clarity

Clear cured resin helps preserve printed colors and dimensional label detail.

02

Self-Leveling Flow

The mixed resin can form a smooth raised dome when viscosity, dispensing volume and substrate conditions are properly controlled.

03

Bubble Release

Formula and process selection support natural bubble release, but mixing method and production conditions still affect final appearance.

04

Glossy Dome Finish

Creates a smooth high-gloss dimensional surface for labels, badges and decorative products.

05

Cured Character Options

Formula directions range from soft and medium-soft to medium-hard and hard.

06

Dispensing Compatibility

Selected formulas may be evaluated for manual, semi-automatic and automatic dispensing workflows.

Can’t find the cured character, viscosity, working time or performance target you need? HSFECL can review selected custom epoxy doming requirements based on your substrate, dispensing process and order plan.

Discuss Custom Formula Performance

Packaging reference for selected epoxy doming resin orders: 5 kg/can is commonly used when no custom package size is specified. For 3:1 systems, a 20 kg carton reference may use a carton size of 39 x 26.5 x 32 cm. Final packaging should be confirmed by formula, quantity and buyer requirements.

PRODUCT FAQ

Epoxy Doming Resin Questions

Which 3:1 epoxy doming formula should I start with?

Start with the cured character and production requirement. HSFECL currently promotes 306AB for soft doming, 6015-8AB for medium-soft doming and 7016AB for hard doming. A 2:1 direction can be discussed only when a project specifically requires it.

Can this resin be used for outdoor labels?

This epoxy range is positioned primarily for indoor doming. For stronger outdoor UV and yellowing resistance, compare the available polyurethane doming systems. View Outdoor PU Doming Resin

Can it be used with an automatic dispensing machine?

Selected formulas may be evaluated for automatic or semi-automatic dispensing. Compatibility depends on the machine ratio, viscosity, metering system, mixing head and production parameters.

Which substrates can be used?

Selected formulas may be evaluated on PVC, PET, acrylic and metal applications. Actual adhesion depends on surface condition, printing ink, coating and pretreatment, so substrate testing is required.

Can hardness or cure speed be adjusted?

Different existing formulas already provide different cured characters and curing behavior. For selected projects, formulation adjustment may also be discussed after reviewing the production requirement.

Is this product suitable for river tables or deep pouring?

No. This product range is designed for dimensional surface doming and is not intended as a river-table or large-volume deep-pour resin system.

Can I request samples and technical data?

Yes. Share the application, target cured character and production method so the appropriate sample and technical data can be matched.
